Itinerary

Day 1 Taj Mahal Tour By Car-Tour +

06:30 AM: – Pickup from Delhi

You will be picked up from your hotel or any other convenient location

in New Delhi and then start the journey to Agra (243.4 km) via the

Yamuna Expressway, with a refreshing tea break in between.

10 AM- Arrival in Agra

Land in Agra for the main leg of your same day Taj Mahal tour by car

and get ready to visit the majestic Taj after freshening up and having

some refreshments.

10.30 AM- Visit the Taj Mahal

Experience the beauty and wonder of the Taj Mahal, which is not just a

UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also one of the Seven Wonders of

the World. This ivory-white marble monument was built between 1631

and 1648 by Emperor Shah Jahan to pay tribute to Mumtaz Mahal, his

favorite wife. Take fabulous photographs of the monument, particularly

with the Yamuna in the backdrop and check out the stunning

architectural touches, carvings, cenotaphs, and domes. You can then

take a walk in the beautiful gardens and courtyards while also visiting

the museum on the premises.

12.30 PM- Lunch in Agra

Once you’re done visiting the Taj Mahal, stop for lunch at a local

restaurant in Agra and savor the delicious flavors of the State.

1.30 PM- Visit Agra Fort

The Agra Fort will be the next stop on your Taj Mahal tour by car, built in

1565 AD by Emperor Akbar as his primary residence (until 1638 whenthe capital shifted to Delhi). Immerse yourself in the historic legends of

the red sandstone fort and listen to captivating stories from your guide,

as you explore diverse marvels in the complex, including the Diwan-i-

Khas or hall of private audience which once had the Peacock Throne

and also the Diwan-i-Aam or the hall of public audience. Then there’s

the amazing Khas Mahal which was once home to Shah Jahan and

showcases stunning fountains, ceilings, and lattice windows, while you

can also visit the Sheesh Mahal or Mirror Place with its mirror-laden

ceilings and walls. Jahangir’s Palace was built for Emperor Jahangir by

Emperor Akbar and stands out for its delightful architecture, while you

can also check out the lovely Musamman Burj or octagonal tower that

faces the Taj Mahal (this is where Shah Jahan was imprisoned and

spent his last days). The Moti Masjid or Pearl Mosque is another

landmark worth visiting here, along with the Mina Masjid, Nagina

Masjid, Anguri Bagh, Delhi Gate, Amar Singh Gate, and Khizri Gate.

3 PM- Visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah

Add a unique dimension to your same day Taj Mahal tour by car by

venturing to the Baby Taj or Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah. It stands out for

its stunning carvings and exquisite inlay work It looks like a smaller

version of the Taj Mahal with several similarities in terms of its marble

5 PM- Return to Delhi
