Then, head to the breathtaking Pangong Tso, a crystal-clear lake surrounded by dramatic mountains. The highlight of the trip, though, is the day excursion to Marsimik La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at over 5582 mts. The challenging drive to Marsimik La offers amazing views and a true sense of adventure. After conquering the pass, you’ll return to Pangong Tso to relax before heading back to Leh. The final day is spent exploring Leh’s local markets, monasteries, and reflecting on the trip’s unforgettable moments.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Leh. Spend the Day at Leisure and Acclimatization +
  • Arrive at Leh – the biggest town in Ladakh region.
  • Meet our representative who will help you with your transfers to the hotel.
  • Complete the check-in formalities and rest for some time.
  • You can then spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • We suggest you go for a short walk around your hotel to acclimate yourself to the altitude better.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2 Leh To Nubra Valley via Khardung-La. Explore Diskit and Hunder Sand Dunes. +
  • Wake up in your hotel room in Leh and have a delicious breakfast.
  • Today, get ready for an exciting journey to one of the highest motorable roads.
  • Board your transfers to begin your journey to the Nubra Valley.
  • Our first stop will be the iconic Khardung-La – one of the highest motorable roads in the world at a height of 5359 meters.
  • Continue the journey through the mesmerizing landscapes until we reach Diskit.
  • Here, we will stop at the Diskit Monastery, which is famous for its 106 feet of Maitreya Buddha statue.
  • Further, we will pass by the Shyok River to reach Nubra Valley, also known as Ldorma or the Valley of Flowers.
  • Upon reaching Nubra, head further to the Hunder Sand Dunes, famous for their unique desert landscapes.
  • You can also enjoy some adventure activities like camel rides and ATV rides on your own.
  • After a long day of sightseeing, head to your camps/ hotels and call it a day.
  • Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 3 Transfers from Nubra to Pangong - the famous lake from 3-Idiots. +
  • Wake up near Nubra Valley and get ready for an adventurous journey to the famous Pangong Tso.
  • We will be crossing the charming Agam and Shyok villages, both of which are extremely gorgeous.
  • Continue on your adventurous journey until we reach the famous Pangong Lake- a crystal-clear blue lake with colour-changing properties.
  • Pangong Lake is about 4 km wide on average and at least 136 Km long and is located at an altitude of 4300 meters above sea level.
  • Spend some time around the lake, as you admire the reflection of the surrounding mountains in the stunning blue lake.

  • We will then head to check in at our campsite near the lake and have a delicious dinner here.
  • Sing songs and share life stories with your friends and make it a night to remember.
  • Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.
Day 4 Day Excursion to Marsimik La +
  • Wake up in your camps at Pangong Lake and have your breakfast with the stunning views of the lake.
  • Today, get ready for an excursion to Marsimik La, situated at an altitude of 5582 mts, which is the 2nd highest pass in the world after Umling La.
  • As we start our day excursion to Marsimik La, we will be passing through some small remote villages along our pathway.
  • We will first reach Lukung, Tablang and Phobrang to finally reach Marsimik La.
  • As you drive through these places, you’ll pass through barren landscapes with little sign of human habitation, which adds to the remote beauty of the region.
  • The landscape gradually transforms as you get higher, with views of towering peaks and distant snow-covered mountains
  • After about 1 hour from Phobrang, you will finally reach Marsimik La, standing tall and you will witness vast stretches of barren mountains and high-altitude terrain from here.
  • You may even see remnants of military structures, as this used to be a strategic area for the Indian Army.
  • Spend some quiet time in this vast peak, soaking in the views around you, and take some photos.
  • We will then start our descent from Marsimik La to Phobrang for a quick stop and a hearty lunch.
  • After lunch, start heading back to Pangong Lake, travelling across the rugged terrain toward the northern shore of the lake.
  • After a couple of hours of challenging routes and scenic views, we will finally reach Pangong Lake.
  • Depending on the time of day, the light over the lake will shift, showcasing different shades
Day 5 Pangong to Leh via Chang La. Also visit the Rancho School and Thiksey Monastery. +
  • Wake up to a beautiful morning with the views of Pangong and have your breakfast at the campsite.
  • Get ready and board your transfers as we head back to Leh today.
  • En route, we will stop at Chang-La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, at a staggering altitude of 5360 meters.
  • First, we will stop at Thiksey Monastery, which has a 49-foot-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha in the lotus position.
  • Further, we will stop at the Druk White Lotus School, which is locally known as Druk Padma Karpo School and famously known as the ‘Rancho’s School’, after the release of the blockbuster movie “3 Idiots”.
  • Our next stop will be the Shey Monastery, the second-largest Shakyamuni Buddha statue which is made up of copper and gilded gold.
  • Reach Leh by evening and check-in at the hotel.
  • You can relax at your hotel or explore Leh market. ( If time permits)
  • After a day of exploration and adventure, we will return to our hotel.
  • Enjoy a delicious dinner, and then get some well-deserved rest.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 6 Pack your bags and take home some thrilling experiences from the trip +
  • Wake up to the beautiful morning amidst the scenic views in Leh.
  • Have your breakfast at the hotel and pack your bags.
  • Your thrilling Ladakh Trip by Flight concludes as you head to the airport for your onward journey.

  • 5 nights accommodation in a Hotel /Camp on a Twin/Triple sharing basis.

  • Any personal expenses like a tip to the drivers, entry to monuments/monasteries, camera/video camera charges, camel safari, river rafting, laundry, telephone bills, tips, etc
  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks etc. (to be borne directly by the customer on the spot).
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Any damage to the bike, except engine damage, must be borne by the client.
